Marilyn "Lyn" Scolza, 75, of Goshen died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY.
Marilyn was born July 14, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Harold and Estelle (Brzozowski) Kern. She was the widow of William Scolza.
She was a Sales Associate at Liz Claiborne in Central Valley, NY.
Marilyn is survived by 3 sons, William Scolza and wife Mary of Monroe, Michael Scolza and wife Dana Marie of Goshen, Andrew Scolza of Goshen; 2 daughters, Joan Donnison and husband John of Amityville, NY and Roseann Roberts and husband James of Summit, NY; brother, Fred Kern and wife Louise of Middle Island, NY; sister, Pat Matazinski and husband Edward of Warrenton, VA; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Elizabeth, Michael, Chris and Nick; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband William, and parents, Harold and Estelle Kern
Lovingly known as Babba by her grandchildren Pookie and Mickey T and loved by her family and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, January 2 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, January 3 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 4 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen,, NY. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen.
