John J. Hough, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and retired lieutenant from the NY State Dept of Corrections passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 80.
John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953 and received the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal and Occupation Medal.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Nancy (Johnson) Hough; sons, John Jr. and Brad Magie, as well as stepchildren, Brian Magie and Cindy Kowalewski; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his infant son, Michael and stepdaughter Donna Paccione.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Friday, January 27 in the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Ruter officiating.
Burial with Military Honors will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen.
