Please share a memory of Kyle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kyle M. Henesy-Kimiecik, 20, of Goshen, passed away with his family around him on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at home. Kyle was born November 28, 1995 in Warwick, NY, the son of Hank Thompson and Meghan Henesy. From your little brother Jared: I love my big brother Kyle so much. We would skateboard together and he would teach me new tricks. I will miss him a lot but I will make him proud of me. - Love your little brother, Jared Kyle, or Kyky to many, and Sully to a few, has always been my cousin, my brother, and my role model… but he's also been my friend. Over the past 2-3 years, Kyky has always been my go to XBOX buddy. When I didn't really have anybody else that I wanted to play with, or I just was bored, he was usually online for me to hook up with. Whether we got on Call of Duty: Ghosts, or Destiny, we would always have fun playing together. Our sessions would go on all through the night… and it would be around 3:00 at minimum when one of us would get tired of playing, and then we would either just sit and talk, or watch a movie on Netflix in more recent occasions. Kyky grew to be one of the best friends I could possibly ask for during middle school, even though we lived 12 hours apart. The time I spent with him rivaled that of my friends down here in Chattanooga, TN. Through him I met many of his XBOX friends, and we would always form up a team to steam roll anybody we came across online in Call of Duty. These past 2-3 years have been some of the best days of my life… knowing that at the end of the day, or week, I would be able to have a blast with my cousin, Kyky, one of my best friends. Whether it would be the humor, or the sarcastic remarks, there was always something that would put me in a good mood, even if the world wasn't going to do it for me. It makes me really heartbroken that as Kyky passes, so do the times I'll have with him on XBOX. Kyky throughout my life has always been my cousin, my brother, my role model… and I'm happy to say that he's been one of the best friends I could ever ask for… we had our fun. But now I guess it's time to say goodbye. So goodbye old friend… I love you, so much. Your Cousin, Matthew KyKy was my whole world, my everything. He always said I was his whole world. Me and KyKy were best buds! I love Ky he is the best big brother I could ever ask for! I loved to cuddle and hold his hand till he fell asleep. I will always love KyKy! Love, Aubrey Kyle, You were an amazing person, a special boy, and a strong young man. When your mom asked me to write a few words, in your honor, I thought it would be an easy task. I could not have been more wrong. While all the words are there, I'm finding it difficult to piece them together in a way that would make you proud. I decided it would be easier and more personal to write this letter directly to you instead. As a baby, you came into this world when I was not much younger than you are now. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried you'd make your mom's life more difficult. However, you did exactly the opposite. You came into her life when she needed you most and set her on the path to becoming the strong woman she is today. For that, I want to thank you. You then grew into such a fine young man. Your kind and gentle heart, your sense of humor, your intelligent mind, your strength and courage are just some of the many admirable qualities you possessed. You often told me how much you looked up to me and how much you wanted to be like me when you grew up. You always filled me with such pride, Kyle. The truth is, I could never be even half the man you have become. I wish I had told you sooner that you are the true hero in my eyes. I want you to know that your life had such purpose and we will all continue to carry that on for you. Rest easy knowing that we will all be here to take care of your mom, dad, brother, sister, and one another. Until we meet again, nephew. I love you always and forever, U.B. He is survived by his mother, Meghan Henesy-Kimiecik and her husband, Adam Kimecik; his father, Hank Thompson and his wife, Jennifer; brothers, Colin Kimiecik, Jared Thompson and Hunter Thompson; sisters, Aubrey Kimiecik, Jessica and Hannah Thompson; maternal grandparents, Carol Henesy and Robert Henesy, Jr. and wife Lourdes; paternal grandparents, Frank Thompson and Bonnie; step-grandparents, Charles Kimiecik and wife Gail Kimiecik and Kathy Szulwach; great grandmothers, Jenny Drew, Eleanor Thompson and Jessie Vandermark and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
