Joseph E. Picciano, 74, of Middletown, NY died Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx, NY. Joseph was born November 10, 1941 in the Bronx, the son of Joseph and Harriet (Blanchard) Picciano. He retired from TriState Custom Construction, Westchester, NY. He loved to build anything and everything , which is how most friends and family will remember him by. He never left home without a hammer! Some of his favorite pastimes were going to the movies especially western movies, garage sales , antiquing , collecting books (his favorite was A Tree Grows in Brooklyn) listening to country music, going to the diner for breakfast, and his all time favorite thing to talk about was politics. He is survived by his step daughter Kimmie Picariello and her husband Brian Picariello His step son Arthur Kelly and his Two grandchildren Kyra and Nicholas Picariello He was the oldest of five children and is also survived by his sister Filomena DiFilippo and his brother Michael Picciano. He is predeceased by his son Joseph Michael Picciano and his two sisters Adel Picciano and Gloria Picciano A Memorial Visitation will be on Sunday, October 9 from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Columbarium at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Middletown on Monday, October 10 at 10:00 am. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
