Maritza "Mitzi" Beasley, 67, of Goshen, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at home. Mitzi was born January 8, 1950 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Jorge Nieves and Lydia Adrover Nieves. She retired from the CJ Hooker Middle School, Goshen, NY as a Secretary and ran the admittance office. Mitzi was an avid NY Mets fan who enjoyed watching games with her family. She loved cruises, traveling and her frequent trips to Atlantic City. Mitzi is survived by her husband, Robert Beasley at home; her mother Lydia Nieves of Calabash, NC; children, Rebecca Rivera and husband Alfredo of Goshen, James Beasley and companion Amy Church of Goshen, Steven Beasley of Goshen and Brian Beasley of Oldsmar, FL; grandchildren, Brandon and Jillian; brother, James Nieves and wife Suzie of Irving, TX; sister, Nancy Mittelstadt of Calabash, NC and several nieces and nephews. Mitzi was predeceased by her father, Jorge. Visitation will be Saturday, March 25 from 5 to 8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the Service at 7:30 pm. Burial will be in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, Goshen at a later date.
