Obituary of Teresa G. Standish

Teresa G. Standish October 12, 1922 - July 11, 2017 Goshen, NY Teresa G. Standish, of Goshen, passed away on Tuesday July 11th at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, NY. Daughter of the late Clarence S. and Emma G. Brown Jackson, she was born on October 12, 1922 in Hartland, VT. She was 94 years old. Teresa graduated from Hartford High School in Hartford, VT. She was retired from Polaks Fruital Works/Hercules Corporation and a former member of the Song of the Valley Sweet Adeline Chorus. Survivors include her husband, Francis Standish, at Park Manor. She is also survived by three daughters: Frances (Francis) Hudson of Pasadena, CA, Carolyn (Ray) House of South Carolina and Bevalie (David) MacFarland of Newburgh; one son: William (Linda) Standish of Washingtonville; son-in-law, Bruce Barron of Campbell Hall; six granddaughters, five grandsons and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Donald (Ann) Jackson of Wisconsin. Teresa was predeceased by one daughter (Gloria Barron), one granddaughter (Kimberly Rae House), two sisters (Belle Clarke and Janice Brothers) and two brothers (Richard Jackson and Urban Jackson). Teresa is fondly remembered by her family for her generosity, sense of humor and competitive spirit. She regularly hosted family gatherings and we all wish to thank her for the close knit family that she and Francis created. She was an avid Yankees fan. She loved all sports and regularly attended family ball games. She had an uncanny ability to win at cards, bingo, horse racing, scratchoffs and croquet. We will all miss her great sense of humor and her dedication to her family. The family would like to send their sincerest thanks to the staff at Park Manor for their exemplary care of Teresa. Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, 5468 Route 9W, Newburgh.
