Obituary of Terence Oliver Sheridan

Terence Oliver Sheridan, 77, of Middletown, passed away surrounded by his family and loved ones on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, N.Y. Terence was born June 25, 1940, in Upper Finea, Moynagh, County Cavan, Ireland, the son of Francis and Bridget (née: Gaffney) Sheridan. He left his beloved Ireland, in 1959 and emigrated to New York City. It was here that he met his beloved wife of 45 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Brigid "Bridie"McKeown, with whom he is now reunited with in Heaven. Terence retired from Consolidated Edison, Inc., New York, NY, as an electrician, with over 30 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his children, Anne Marie Sheridan of Norwalk, Connecticut; Frank and his wife, Ann Marie Sheridan of Middletown, NY; Bernadette and her husband, Hugh Maxwell of Goshen, NY; John Sheridan of Middletown; and granddaughter, Gemma Maire Maxwell of Goshen, NY. He is also survived by brother, John Sheridan and his wife, Agnes Sheridan of Thurles, County Tipperary, Ireland and brother-in-law, Mike Gleeson of Pearl River, one sister, Bridie Murray and her husband, John Murray of Carrickboy, County Longford, Ireland; sister-law Deidre Sheridan of Virginia, County Cavan, Ireland; brother-in-law, Brian Maguire of Stradone, County Cavan, Ireland and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sisters, Eileen (Sheridan) Gleeson, Rita (Sheridan) Sinheart and Maureen (Sheridan) Maguire; and his brother, Frank Sheridan. He was a lover of the "craic" and avid sports fan. He will be missed by all who knew him, and welcomed home by all who went before him. A Burial Mass will be held with the family in St. Mochua's Church, Derrynoose, Keady, County Armagh, Ireland. Arrangements are under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
