Robert J. Rysinger, "Bob" 87, of Goshen, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at Valley View Center in Goshen, NY. Robert was born and raised in Goshen on September 9, 1930, the son of the late Joseph Harold Rysinger and the late Mary (Dunn) Rysinger. He was a self employed entrepreneur and served 15 years on the Village Board 3 years as a Trustee and 12 as Mayor. Bob was big on family and had a great sense of humor. He was one of the 1st Eagle Scouts in Orange County. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dolores Elizabeth Sicina Rysinger at home; children, Jeff Rysinger of Wurtsboro, Tami Sutherland of Goshen and Dale Rysinger of Westtown; sister, Donna Weiss and husband George of Goshen; six grandchildren, Ryan, Roy, Rayanne, Ty, Brett and Heather; two great grandchildren, Jamie and Ty and several nieces and nephews. As per Bob's wishes a private service will be held with the family. A Mass in Bob's name will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 71 Murray Avenue, Goshen. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bob's name may be made to the Goshen Sportsman's Club, 10 Duggan Lane, Goshen, NY 10924.
