Obituary of Berit Johanna Swanson

Berit Johanna Swanson, 78, of Dingmans Ferry, PA., entered into rest on Friday, August 14, 2015 at home. Berit was born December 14, 1936 in Nampns, Finland. She was the daughter of the late Adrian and Johanna kerman. She married her husband, Harry Rego Swanson, on December 9, 1961. She is survived by her husband, Harry; three sons, Ronald and wife Donna, Todd and wife Kathie and Carl and companion Kelly; six grandchildren, Sarah and husband Brian, Emily, Katelyn, Todd "TJ", Nicolas, Nolan and step-son, Thomas Slinn and wife Kristin; two great grandsons, Hunter and Mason Lasch and great granddaughter, Kelly Slinn. She is also survived by her brother and two sisters in Finland; one sister in the state of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins in Finland, Sweden and USA. Bert attended Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walden, NY and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Dingman's Ferry, PA. Berit was a believer in her Heavenly Father and the Holy Spirit since her childhood. She will be missed and remembered for endless devoition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. PSALM 23. There will be no visitation. A graveside service at Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY will be private. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen, NY.
