Donald L. Smith, Sr., age 76, of Bloomingburg died Friday, January 12, 2007 at Orange Reginal Medical Center Horton Campus, Middletown. Mr. Smith was born July 3, 1930 in Goshen, NY the son of the late James and Mitilda (Reid) Smith. He married Ida Pulos Smith He served in the Army from 1943 to 1945 during World War II . He was employed by Town Of Wallkill, as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He is survived by his wife: Ida (Pulos) Smith, two sons, James Smith and his wife Penny of Mechanicstown; Donald L. Smith, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Middletown; two daughters, Lydia M. Horton and husband Les of Bloomingburg; Marjie L. Schultz and husband Wesley of Bloomingburg; brothers, James Smith of New Mexico, William Smith and wife Elma of Mechanicstown; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister, Hazel Bohm; brother, Roland Smith and sister-in-law, Sally. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen. The funeral will be Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007 at 6:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Hewittt officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan, 800 Stony Brook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550
