Joseph R. Greene, age 82, of New Hampton, NY died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Park Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Middletown, NY. Joseph was born February 14, 1925 in Amsterdam, NY the son of the late Roger and the late Elizabeth(Thompson) Greene. He was married to Margaret Gorman Greene. He served in the Navy from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. He was a member of the VFW of Goshen, NY. He was employed by the City of New York as a Stationary Engineer. Joseph is survived by his wife: Margaret T. Greene at home; 2 sons, Thomas Greene and wife Lorraine of New Hampton, NY and Brian J. Greene of Louisiana; 2 Grandsons William Greene and wife Jesyca (who are expecting Joes first great grandchild) and Sean Greene. He was predeceased by his daughter, Teresa M. Greene Visitation will be Monday, May 21, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Andrew Bobola R. C. Church, Maple Ave., Pellets Island, NY. Interment will follow in the Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY. Arrangements under the direction of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
