Obituary of Celeste Yacovone

CELESTE ANN YACOVONE WARWICK, NEW YORK Celeste Ann Yacovone, 54, of Warwick, NY, passed peacefully, with her husband at her side, on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. Celeste was born on July 2, 1954 in New York, NY, the daughter of Catherine (Squeri) and the late Edward Fecci. Celeste was the wife of Dr. Joseph F. Yacovone. Celeste graduated in 1972 from Notre Dame High School in New York City. She received a B.A. from Fordham University in 1975 and a Masters Degree in Education from Fordham in 1976. She worked as a paralegal at LeBoeuf Lamb, a law firm in New York City, and later taught at Kreative Kids Pre-School in Warwick, NY. Her passions were her family, friends and home. She loved traveling, cooking and gardening. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and was on the Board of People for People Fund, Middletown, NY. Celeste was the beloved wife for 30 years of Dr. Joseph F. Yacovone; beloved mother of Krista Elizabeth Yacovone and Kara Lynne Yacovone at home; loving daughter of Catherine Fecci of Astoria, NY; loving sister of Jane Marie Fecci of New York, NY. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as her sisters- and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Fecci; and her sister, Mary Louise Maher. Visitation will be Friday, July 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 4, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen, NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Celeste's name to The Ray W. Moody Breast Center at Orange Regional Medical Pavilion, 75 Crystal Run Road, Middletown, NY 10941.
