I'm not surprised to learn that Michelle grew up to be be compassionate, successful and loved by many. It sounds like she lovingly touched many lives.

I am a mom of two girls from Figure Skating in Harlem. They have been a part of the program for 7and 6 years. The 3 of us lived Michelle. She was a bright light at the academic center. She was always smiling and greeted the girls with a smile every time they came there. She will be missed by us all. Her bubbly personality to her great treats.
We loved Michelle. So sorry for the families loss. Prayers for the entire family

Dr. Altura and family,
I was sorry to hear of Michelle's passing. She was so often a voice in the darkness when we had tough days preparing for competition. She would quietly come and talk to me assuring me everything would be fine. She was a brilliant smile at the end of a long day and always there for everyone. I am so glad to hear that she became a teacher and I am sure her presence will be missed by all of them. Her wonderful, positive spirit will live on in all those she has touched. I am so honored to have known your lovely daughter and will cherish the memories of her.
