What a beautiful person Hilda was and what a love she had for her family. I last saw her when the girls were in the cast of Godspell. As always, she was wearing a huge smile! Dear Tess, Margie and the entire Ellis Family. It is with a saddened heart that I learned of Hilda's passing today. Though I never met Hilda's husband Ken nor her daughters, I was very familiar with Hilda's sisters and her Dad. Hilda was a very special friend of mine and my family for many years, and even though I moved away from New York, a while ago, she would always ask about my Mom, Dad and family, when running into any one of my five sisters. Hilda had a super personality and was the type of person that was liked by everyone who ever had an opportunity to meet her. Kenny Ellis, you truly married a wonderful woman and Susan & Amelia your Mom was a beautiful person as I am sure you all knew that. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone as you navigate this difficult time in your lives. I know that you all have great memories of "Hil" and hope that those memories will see you through this loss. I will remember Hilda in my prayers at Mass this weekend and thank our Lord that I knew her and had her for my friend. Once again, Tess and Margie, I am deeply saddened and feel your loss as well.

My deepest condolences are being sent with a heavy heart. I don't have words strong or comforting enough to express my sorrow but I would like Hilda's family to know how grateful I am for her. During the formative years of my own Karolinka kids, Hilda was a powerful presence. Her encouragement, enthusiasm, gentle touch, positive outlook, and love of life was a model of behavior that continues to live with them and, I'm sure, with anyone who knew Hilda.
