Thomas Powell, age 95, entered into rest Thursday, January 28, 2021 at home in Goshen. Thomas was born October 27, 1925 in Glenbeigh, Co Kerry, Ireland. He was the son of the late William and Ellen (McMahon) Powell. He was employed by MABSTOA, New York City as a Bus Driver. He is survived by his children: Irene T. Powell of Goshen, NY, Maureen A. Powell of Seaside Park, NJ, Thomas J. Powell and wife, Susan of Central Valley, NY, James M. Powell and wife, Kathy of Pine Bush, NY, Josephine M. Toohey and husband, Daniel of Goshen, NY, and William J. Powell and wife Priscilla of Middletown, NY; grandchildren: Stephanie Powell, Christopher Powell and wife Kristin, Meghan Sabbagh and husband, Kevin, Patrick Powell and wife Jessica, Kayla Parker and husband, Eric, Danielle Toohey, and Mckenzie Powell; great grandchildren: Henry and Lucy Powell and Cecilia Sabbagh. He was predeceased by his wife Irene Powell and all his brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in Thomas's name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties or St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN.. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at St. John's The Evangelist RC Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY. .
