John "Jack" R. Curran, Jr., age 72, of Washingtonville, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born February 11, 1950 in Queens, NY. He is the son of the late John and the late Jean (Mendler) Curran. He retired from the NYPD as a lieutenant after 31 years of service. He then continued working in law enforcement with the Orange County Sheriff's Department and at Credit Suisse. In his retirement, he loved spending time with his family on beach vacations, reading in his sunroom, and being his grandchildren's biggest fan on and off the field. He would always go out of his way to help those he loved and will be missed greatly by all who were lucky enough to have known him. He is survived by his wife of 45 years; Kathleen (Dunne) Curran ; his daughter Susan (Christopher) Geissler of Goshen; his daughter Elizabeth (Gregory) Tamm of Hoboken; his son Jack (Kristen) Curran of Washingtonville as well as his beloved grandchildren; Meghan, Christopher, Brendan, Julie, and Finn. He is also survived by his brother and four sisters and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He will be greatly missed and will always hold a special place in our hearts. Visitation will be Monday, October 24 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
