I have many fond memories of John and his family, having gone through grade school with him at Christ the King. A group would walk home together from school, laughing and antagonizing each other on the way. John was always smart, kind, and fun in those youthful years, and although we lost track over the years, those memories always remained. Oftentimes we would be joined by his cousin, Mary Jo, as her after-school babysitter was often her Aunt Margeret. All of the Zahradniks were wonderful people, and I am not surprised to read John's obituary and see he also raised a wonderful family too. RIP, John.
