Kathleen Marie Andryshak, 64, of Goshen N.Y., passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, Friday, July 28, at Garnet Medical Center in Middletown, after a long illness.

Kathy was born November 25, 1958, in Goshen to Edward A. Andryshak and Marion (Heinzelman) Andryshak. She graduated from Goshen High School and attended O.C.C.C. She then was hired by the New York State Police and worked as a BCI Secretary, at the Troop F Headquarters in Middletown, N.Y. She was instrumental in keeping the Troop F BCI running smoothly, and she assisted many a Senior Investigator and Investigator during that time. Kathy also organized the Annual Troop F Dinner, many promotion and retirement parties and other State Police Events.  Her career lasted for over 30 years.  When Kathy wasn’t working, she enjoyed the social scene among various Goshen Establishments. She was also a caring Stepmother to Jody Cook and Kristen Doezema and a loving Grandmother to her six grandchildren whom she adored. Kathy was also an active member of the Goshen Lions Club and a member of the New York State CSEA.

Kathy is survived by her longtime Fiancé’, John Van Der Molen of Goshen N.Y., her brothers Michael of Madison County, N.Y., Mark and his wife Carol of Middletown, N.Y., David and his wife Erin of Goshen, N.Y. and Sister-in-Law Judy (widow of her brother Stephan), of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Along with many nieces and nephews, stepdaughters and grandchildren.   She is predeceased by her father Edward A. Andryshak, her mother Marion Andryshak and her older brother Stephan Andryshak.

 

On Tuesday, August 8th, as per Kathy’s wishes, there will be a private service for immediate family only from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at the Donovan Funeral Home. Starting at 3:15 PM there will be a Memorial Gathering at Delanceys Restaurant, Park Place, Goshen to celebrate Kathys Life for all of her friends and acquaintances. Per Kathys request, dress casual, tell stories and have a cocktail.
