Jack Deshler was a man that we admired. It was because of his love of family. Pat,he was a devoted husband to you. Michelle,he was a source of support for you & a guiding light for J.P & Keith. It was an honor for my wife & I to have known your husband,dad & grandfather. As a 14 month kidney transplant recipient my wife & I will be making a donation to the National Kidney Foundation in Jack’s name. It is with our deepest sympathies to the Deshler family that we are sending this to you & he is a man who will never be forgotten. Respectfully,Tony & Diane Mancuso

It was always comforting to have Jack as your dispatcher at 3am when the fire tones went in. When you called on the air, you knew you were in good hands. Just hearing his voice was always comforting. Hoping you find comfort in your next journey, the way we all did when you were here for us. Godspeed Jack. We’ll miss you.

I would like to give my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Jack. I knew him for over 50 years and really admired him. he was a great fire chief , police officer and dispatcher for Orange County Emergency Communications . he was very intelligent and a really great person who gave me sound advice at 911 and the fire department. He had a great sense of humor and kept us in good spirits on the job. God Bless You Jack and keep smiling upon us throughout all of our endeavors and I pray for you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Mr. Deshler was such a kind and caring man. He spent his lifetime serving not just the community but the families in the community. My mother always fondly remembered Mr. Deshler kindly keeping watch over my wayward brother. I remember always knowing how very lucky my dear friends, Karen and Denise, were to have him as a father. I am lucky to have known him. Most of my happy childhood memories are entwined with the Deshler family. I am so very sorry for your loss and will carry you all in my heart.

The heavens just received a Saint. We're sending our love, prayers and sincere sympathies on Jacks passing. He was an amazing man and such a humanitarian - so generous to all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Pat and Michelle and family. I have known Jack for approximately 47 years when I joined a Chester fire department we’ve had some great times I would never forget the time he sent me up to Danny’s uptown to get a couple of dozen of rooster, eggs, and beef bacon, that was the talk of the town. He always kid around with me and I’ll never forget that in my heart, we have had great times and memories, Jack would help you if you needed him to help he was such a fine gentleman, and always had a smile on his face that you will never forget. he will be missed.
