With deep sorrow and profound love, we announce the passing of Gerard F. Boss, Jr., age 85, of Goshen, NY. a devoted husband, loving father and cherished grandfather, who passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Gerard (Jerry) was born July 20, 1939, in Yonkers, NY. He is the son of the late Gerard F. and Alice (Nix) Boss.

Gerard married his high school sweetheart, Ruth Anne Heinrichs in Yonkers on February 17th,1962.

Jerry was a career law enforcement officer receiving numerous awards for his achievements. He was highly regarded by his peers and retired from the New York State Police as a Senior Investigator and retired from the US Drug Enforcement Administration as an Intelligence Analyst.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Anne, his two devoted children, Gerard F. Boss III (and wife, Ana Zapata), his daughter, Kelly Anne Boss, and the enduring legacy of his four treasured grandchildren, (Courtney, Robert, Katherine and Kerry), who's lives will be forever enriched by his wisdom, humor and warmth.

Gerard began his married life with Ruth Anne, in Yonkers, New York. The family later moved to the Town of Goshen.

Gerard will be remembered for not only his dedication to his family but also for his unwavering kindness and the countless lives he's touched. His memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew him.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
