Some of my fondest memories of growing up with Robin were the lazy weekends at the pool. Robin was always eager to introduce "city folk" to the country life, especially her oxen. Robin held a personal "summer animal camp" for our youngest daughter Lauren. She taught me photography and took me skiing. I remember her smiling face when landing from my first hot air balloon ride. We will miss her dearly.

Because of you, Aunt Robin, I had the wonderful opportunity to experience so much, from the Rocketts to the Rockies. The adventures didn't stop there, as we enjoyed escargot, prepared Caesar salads, and had delightful barbecues, among other cherished memories. You will forever hold a special place in my heart. You encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone, which introduced me to experiences I might never have known otherwise. Although you are no longer with us, your free spirit and cheerful smile continue to live on in my memories. Rest in peace, Aunt Robin.

Q: What will you miss most about Robin?
A: I remember the “Bless this Mess” sign on the car up in Maine and all the fun we had arguing the word Danny used in scrabble. “Chitmonk”. I also remember the Toboggan slide we all went on, and the dinner afterwards at Kinchleys, where Robin showed everyone that she split her pants all the way up the back. I also remember the time she lived with our family and was part of it for quite a long period of time. She will be missed.

Sometimes you meet someone who, though you are only ships passing in the wide seas of each others' lives, impacts you deeply. Robin was this sort of person for me.
We met online when I was a new college grad trying to get a farm and a cow and falling in love with Milking Devons and draft animal power. She went out of her way to give me advice and invite me to join the HVDHA, and what I remember most about her was she was always so kind and generous with her extensive knowledge.
Covid and life circumstances meant that I ended up only meeting her in person a few times, but I remember her with such fondness as a person who took the time to cultivate a love of oxen and a sense of community in me when I was young and a bit lost. She was a bright star and will be deeply missed.
