Obituary of Susan M. Loughren

Susan Mary Dowdell Loughren Goshen, New York Susan Mary Dowdell Loughren, 54 of Goshen, NY passed away with her family by her side, Monday, September 6, 2010 at ORMC Arden Hill Campus, Goshen, NY. Susan was born December 3, 1955 in Evanston, IL the daughter of Daniel D. Dowell and Erna E. Bergner. Susan began her career working in Bloomingdales Department Store as a Sales Associate, leaving to begin her family. After raising her two children, Colleen and Ryan, Susan went back to work for the Goshen Central School District as a Special Education Aid, she enjoyed and cared for the children she worked with. Susan most recently worked as the Office Manager for Wannamaker and Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern, NY, where Susan's compassion helped many people. Throughout her life Susan was always an animal lover, she was never without a dog in the family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Susan is survived by her mother, Erna Dowdell-West; daughter, Colleen Loughren; son, Ryan Loughren and his Fiance, Deborah Millard; uncles, William Bergner and wife Juliet and Gilbert Bergner and wife Irene; aunts, Marylou Abrahamson and Maureen Hansen; and many cousins. She was precedeased by her father, Daniel Dowdell. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Services will be held in Illinois and burial will be in the family plot in All Saint's Cemetery, DesPlaines, IL In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Susan's name to the Goshen Humane Society, P.O.
