Dear Elisa & Family, We want to share our loving thoughts of Luis...Luis was a delightful,caring & loving man. We regret we were unable to be there. However, we will always remember how thoughtful & amusing Luis was. He was a great cook too. We remember how well he prepared a delicious dinner for us a few yrs. ago when we were visiting you both. You can see how much he enjoyed cooking this beautiful dinner...it was a very special day at your house, Elisa. And, it was always a joy & pleasure to talk with him on the phone too. Elisa, you have a special angel in heaven. Your parish was very blessed to have him as a deacon for those many years at St. John's. Please give Emily & Luis our love & sympathy, Elisa, treasure those many precious memories of Luis. Love you, Elisa, much, much....Angie & Charlie Quigley & Family

March 28, 2011 Dear Elisa & family, I am very saddened and shocked by the news of "Lou's" passing. Luis was a very special friend to our family, especially to my parents, Ed & Marybeth McDermott. Dad and Luis would comiserate over their spiritual experiences and I will never forget what Luis did when he gave Dad the Eucharist for 30 days back in May of 1991. By doing this, Dad was able to fully recover from his stroke. My thoughts & prayers are with you, Elisa and your family. I know that he is with God & Our Lord, Jesus Christ, "hanging out" in Heaven. May God bless you, Marianne McDermott & family.

Dear Elisa and family, I am so sorry for the loss of your wonderful husband and father. I remember him smiling all the time.We saw him and Elisa at Donna and Ben Geraci's house in Arcadia Hills at get togethers there. Luis and Elisa were always there with us, having fun just being together. I also loved seeing him at St. John's at the anniversary masses that were celebrated for our dear friend Irving Medina, a fallen Army soldier in Iraq.It was evident that Luis loved the Lord in his demeanor, service to others and in his dedication and service to the Lord as a Deacon. I have fond memories of Luis as a wonderful, kind,gentle man in his position as pharmacist at Arden Hill Hospital. I worked in Human Resources Dept and assisted Luis with his retirement. He was so excited to start a new chapter in his life. I will miss seeing him at St. John's noon mass. May God comfort you during this difficult time. Sincerely,Nancy Ferris
