Joan Flanagan New Hampton, New York Joan Flanagan, 71, of New Hampton died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed. Joan was born May 24, 1940 in Newark, NJ, the daughter of Francis and Irma (Ayers) Flanagan. She was a tailor for Mr. Ed's Dry Cleaners, Florida, NY. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Krawcyk Conklin; 2 granddaughters, Misty Conklin and Andrea Conklin; grandson, Alan Conklin, Jr. all of New Hampton; 2 sisters, Sharon Zeszutek of New Hampton and Kathleen Krawcyk of Warwick; 2 brothers, John Flanagan of Middletown and Raymond Schoenleber of Airmont, NY; and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her parents, brother, Francis "Fran" Flanagan and son-in-law, Alan "Bruce" Conklin, Sr. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 20 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home, with Reverend George R. Doering, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Florida Cemetery, Florida, NY at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550. Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
