God bless the Scesa family. Annette--my heart goes out to you. As a member of the Smith family of Goshen, I have many happy memories of the years we have known your family. May those memories and the memories of your loving years together help to sweeten your days and lighten your grief.

Family, I'm saddened to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jim, over the years we've lost touch but you'll always be a brother to me. Your Dad is a great guy and he will be missed by all who knew him.

It was with great regret that I heard of jims passing. I was privileged to be one of his nurses at Middletown dialysis. Sincere sympathy to the entire family. He was a wonderful , kind, funny man and he will be greatly missed.

For the Scesa Family,
I was not fortunate or privileged to know your husband, father, grandfather personally as my memories are limited to but a few short, years from high school. Although short the memories are profound and lasting. I'll always remember Mr. Scesa as Jim's father. My memories are of a kind, soft spoken, humble, Christian man who worked hard to support his family. I have a timeless picture of Mr. Scesa quietly working behind the counter in his Goshen market looking up to help a customer and then returning quickly to finish the work at hand.
Just for Jim Jr., my high school friend. Thanks for being the first person from Goshen to speak to a skinny Monroe Woodbury transfer kid in 10th grade on his first day in homeroom. Your welcoming words meant the world to me then as I still remember them 46 years later. I have to believe your wonderful Dad's living example to his son made that first school day bearable for me.
I am very sorry for your loss.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this time. I went to school with Paul and you lived next door to my Aunt Virginia and Uncle Roy. May all the good memories of your father help you through the days ahead.
