Obituary of Suzanne Volkmer

Suzanne "Buffi" Volkmer Campbell Hall, New York Suzanne "Buffi" Volkmer, 59, of Campbell Hall died Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at home. Suzanne was born December 18, 1953 in New York, NY, the daughter of Richard Buffington and the late Yvonne (Carroll) Buffington. Suzanne retired from Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center, Campbell Hall, NY as an Activities Director. She was a foster parent for many years and enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycle riding, oil painting, ceramics and travelling. She is survived by her husband: Joseph C. Volkmer at home; her father, Richard Buffington of Live Oak, FL; children, Julie Kappes and husband Michael of Bloomingburg, Charles Volkmer and companion Mandy and her children Ben and Mindy all of Ohio, Kiersti-Jo Volkmer of Middletown, Joseph Volkmer and wife Tricia and her son, Brian of Ottisville, and Jenna Volkmer; grandchildren, Carly, Kyle, Abigail and Joseph; sisters, Cynthia Zuczuski and husband Stephen of Live Oak, FL and Kim Buffington of Warwick; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jennifer Thorpe. A Celebration of Suzanne's Life will be held Monday, February 11 from 6-9 pm at the Campbell Hall Firehouse, Campbell Hall, NY.
