ZINA IAFRATE April 26, 1920 - April 10, 2013 Blooming Grove, NY Zina (Alterio) Iafrate, entered into rest on April 10th, in Orange Regional Medical Center, after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael Iafrate (January 21, 2003). She was born in Ripabotonni, Italy to the late Angelina Reda Alterio and the late Pasquale Alterio. Zina is survived by her daughter, Roseanne McGrath; her two granddaughters, Beth McGrath-Carey (Brett) and Kerry McGrath-Dolberg (Allen); her four great-grandchildren: Samantha Carey, Marley Dolberg, Michael Carey and Zoey Dolberg. Zina is also survived by her sister, Esther Istivan; brother, Joe Alterio; Godson, Thomas Manalio; her dear friend, Becky Vacek and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Lydia and three brothers: Ben, Louis and Timothy. From the time she moved to the states at the age of 16 she worked hard at many different jobs, but she was mostly known for the strong love she had for her family. Her biggest joy was spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed. Visitation hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 15th at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. Prayer Service will be said at the Donovan Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with the burial to follow at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Goshen.
