HAROLD E. TALMADGE, JR.
DECEMBER 31, 1949 - JANUARY 13, 2009
FORMERLY OF MAYBROOK, NY
Harold E. Talmadge, Jr. of Edgewater, FL, formerly of Maybrook, NY passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at age 59.
Harold was born December 31, 1949 in Middletown, NY the son of the late Harold E. Talmadge, Sr. and the late Dorothy (Studer) Talmadge Previtera.
He was a member of the Teamsters Local 531, retired from the Al Turi Landfill in Goshen, NY. He also had worked for the DPW in Maybrook, NY and Balk Products in Maybrook, NY.
Harold always said he lived a great life! He was retired and enjoyed his life in Florida. Harold lived each day to the fullest and told family that living in Florida was like living in paradise. Driving his truck to the beach and watching the ocean was a favorite routine of his. He also enjoyed traveling to visit his kids and grandkids who have many wonderful memories from his recent visits. We will all miss his amazing food and cooking! Harold will always be remembered by many family members and friends.
Harold is survived by his step father, Isadore Previtera and wife Donna of Chester, NY; two sons, Eric P. Talmadge and fianc Francine Andaya of Saugerties, NY, Glenn A. Talmadge and wife Crystal of Plano, TX; sister, Starr Pendergraft and husband Dan of Redondo Beach, CA; brother, Angelo (Bug) Previtera of Edgewater, FL; grandmother, Mildred Talmadge of Port Jervis, NY; his beloved grandchildren, Ashley N. Shipman and Thomas V. Shipman, Jr.; great-grandaughter, Arianna Rose Simmons; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Sheena C. Talmadge Shipman and his sister, Lucille L. Hall.
Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2009 from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen.
A Graveside Service will be Friday, January 23, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY with Reverend Ashley officiating.
Burial will follow in Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY.
