David Owen Hulle Middletown, New York David Owen Hulle, 81, of Middletown died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. David was born July 15, 1931 in Jamaica, Queens, NY, the son of the late William and Bertha (Schwallow) Hulle. He was the husband of Frances Overton Hulle. David always said, "Music is my life." In 1954 he started playing with the Eddie Dirr Band in the Catskills, he later played with the Ronnie Vance Band. He played the Euphonium at the Pine Bush Community Band and you could always find him on Tuesday afternoons with the Stardust Band at the community center playing the Trombone. David was a retired Dairy Farmer and owned Mayfair Stock Farm in Middletown. He was on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District, past director of the Eastern Milk Producers Co-op, a 65 year member and past Master of the Hamptonburgh Grange and an Elder and member of the Hamptonburgh Presbyterian Church. Besides his music David's other hobbies included hunting, fishing and camping in the Adirondacks and his cabin at Wolf Lake. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances O. Hulle at home; children, Clara Noteboom and husband Albert of Pine Bush, Susan Gibbs and husband Alfred of Slate Hill, Alice Spoor and husband Don of Middletown, Randy Hulle and wife Barbara of Pine Bush, Paula DeBlock of Westtown, and Larry Hulle and wife Laurie of Slate Hill; brother, William Hulle and wife Helen of Westtown; 22 grandchildren, Timothy, Jeffrey, Scott, and Mark Noteboom, Kathleen Cure, Gary Gibbs, Rebecca Hill, Barbara and Jennie Gibbs, Christina Pahucki, Deborah Hourahan, Beth Jones, Joseph Spoor, Blane and Shane Hulle, Samantha Ewings, JoAnna Becerril, Jacob DeBlock, Andrew, Patrick, Michael and Thomas Hulle; 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandsons, Jeremy DeBlock and Christopher Noteboom and great grandson, Atticus Becerril. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 22 at 10:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh, Rt. 207, Campbell Hall, NY with the Reverend Gary Fox officiating. Burial will be in Hamptonburgh Cemetery, Campbell Hall, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Hamptonburgh, P.O. Box 260, Campbell Hall, NY 10916.
