Obituary of Angel Luis Ortiz

Angel Luis Ortiz Wallkill, New York Angel Luis Ortiz, 70, of Town of Wallkill, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. Angel was born September 22, 1943 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Hiram and Rita (Quintana) Ortiz. Angel began his career as a Bus Operator for MABSTOA in Manhattan, NY in 1973 and retired in 2000. He loved cruising, music, dancing, and watching TV. He was also an avid Yankees and Giants fan. Angel was a loving husband, wonderful father, proud and doting grandfather and a great son, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his wife Rita Ortiz at home; daughter, Wendy Cassese and husband Edmund of Town of Wallkill; sons, Andrew Ortiz and wife Heather of Town of Wallkill, and Jeffrey Ortiz and wife Alison of Hagerstown, MD; sisters, Evelyn Casal of Town of Wallkill and Awilda Cohen and husband William of Charlotte, NC; brother, Hiram (John) Ortiz and wife Dinora of Chester; 11 grandchildren, Nicholas, Christian, and Ryleigh Ortiz, Abigail and Emily Cassese, Emma, Madelyn, Henry, James, Philomena and Leo Ortiz; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and brother Hector Ortiz. Visitation will be Thursday, April 10 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, New Jersey.
