Obituary of Myrtle L. Bair

Myrtle Lillie Bair, age 79, of Goshen died Sunday, June 3, 2007 at home. Myrtle was born November 10, 1927 in Altuna, PA, the daughter of Lester Brumbaugh and Lorena(Smith) Brumbaugh. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at Lykes Memorial Hospital, Florida. A senior citizens meet and eat volunteer at Valley View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Myrtle was born in Pennsylvania in 1927 and raised 5 children; she retired to Florida and returned to Goshen to be with her children and grandchildren. She was a very hard worker and an accomplished sewer and baker. She loved her cat Rosie and her dog Monty who predeceased her. Myrtle went to college at age 40 and graduated with a 99.2 average. She is survived by her son, Francis Charles Bair, Jr. of Youngsville, NY; daughter, Alice Bair Nuzzolese of Goshen, NY; brother, John Brumbaugh; sister, Patsy and Doris Butler; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and one on the way; niece Linda Hopkins and many other nieces and nephews. Myrtle was predeceased by her sons, William James Bair, Gerald Ernest Bair; daughter, Pamela Sue Bair, sister, Eva L. Kauffman and Nonie Butler; brother, Roy Brumbaugh. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 2:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen with Decon Thomas Liotta officiating. Burial will be in Slate Hill Cemetery, Goshen. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Myrtles name to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, 122 East 42nd Street, 18th Floor, New York, NY 10168-1898 Email: info.ny@arthritis.org Arrangements under the direction of the Donovan Funeral Home.
