Christine T. Menza nee Krystyna Hendrzak, 80, of Goshen, entered into rest on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Schervier Pavilion, Warwick, NY. Christine was born November 16, 1935 in Przemysl, Poland, the daughter of her birth mother Sophie Magusiak, her parents, Joseph and Felicia Hendrzak, who have predeceased her. She was the widow of Richard J. Menza and fiancé, Heinz Klemm. Christine retired as an administrative secretary from Bankers Trust in New York City. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church and Choir; a participating member of the Divine Mercy prayer group and the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament; a founding member of the Hudson Valley Polonaise Society; active member of the General Pulaski Committee of Orange County; member of the Polish American Club and German American Club. She taught polish language classes in Pine Island for many years; also sang and danced at the Orange County Onion Harvest Festival. She was very generous and donated to many different charities. She is survived by her sister, Betty Anne Prewitt of Hondo, TX; Goddaughter, Bernice DellaPorte of Montgomery, NY; Godson, Joseph Zaccaria of New Paltz, NY; step daughters, Laura Rutkin and husband David of New York, NY and Christina Plastaras and husband Paul of Garden City, Long Island, NY; proud grandmother to Richard, Caroline, Cole and Trey; dear cousins, Mariola Hryn of Poland, Claudia, Larry, Philip, Laurence, Nicholas and Victoria Clemente, Lydia and Paul Todora, Julia and Ronald Falcone, Kara and Luke Gondella, Paul and Patricia Kulpa, Leonard Malek, Phil Volker, Skip, Mark and David DellaPorte and Alicia Lanese; also survived by her loving friends, Paula Olsen, Adele Scoles, Stanley Kocot, Rose Marie and Joseph Zaccaria. Visitation will be Monday, July 11 from 5-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, July 12 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 72 Murray Ave., Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
