Obituary of Helyn N. Gilsinan

Helyn N. Gilsinan South Blooming Grove Helyn N. Gilsinan, 83, of South Blooming Grove passed away at home with her loving family by her side on Friday, August 23, 2013. Helyn was born September 29, 1929 in Sloatsburg, NY, the daughter of the late Floyd Boungard and Edna (Smith) Boungard. Helyn drove a school bus for the Washingtonville Central School District. Helyn enjoyed knitting, playing solitaire and bingo, and she loved traveling especially taking cruises with her husband. She is survived by her husband, Edmund J. Gilsinan at home; children, Patricia Leinweber of Warwick, James Gilsinan and wife Kerry of Gloucester, VA, Lynne Schaffer and husband Kevin of Washingtonville, Margaret Decker and husband Charles of Salisbury Mills, and Norma Nicoliello and husband Keith of South Blooming Grove; 8 grandchildren, Megan Cracolici, James Gilsinan Nicoliello, Sean Gilsinan, Mary Carey, Kristen Decker, Colleen Decker, Samantha Nicoliello; 8 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kelly Ann Gilsinan and her sister, Edna Boungard. The family would like to thank the Staff at Harriman Dialysis Center, the care givers of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and the nurses of Good Samaritan Hospital. Visitation will be Monday, August 26 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 27 at St. Mary's R. C. Church, (Tetreau Hall), Washingtonville, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville.
