Obituary of Carol A. Connolly

Carol A. Connolly, 73, of Chester, died Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick, NY. Carol was born December 27, 1940 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Mildred (Pugliese) Giustino. She was married to Richard J. Connolly. Carol retired as a School Aid from the Goshen Middle School, Goshen, N.Y. She was a former coach for the Chester Little League Softball and one of the original members of the Chester Women's Softball League. She is survived by her husband, Richard J. Connolly at home; son, Richard J. Connolly III and wife Kristen of Warwick, NY; daughter, Christina Hartnett and husband Dan of Prospect, CT; brother Robert Giustino of Chestertown, NY; 2 grandchildren, Danny and Meghan Hartnett; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Mildred and father Joseph, and sister, Marie Betro. A special thank you to the staff at St. Anthony's Hospital, and Dr. Koulova and Staff at Goshen Infusion Center. Visitation will be Monday, September 22 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at St. Columba R. C. Church, 27 High St, Chester, NY. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Chester, NY.
