Obituary of Linda A. Hassenmayer

Linda A. Hassenmayer (Kalblein), 62, of Middletown, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at home. Linda was born December 13, 1951 in Middletown, NY, the daughter of Richard and Mary Ann (Seyfferth) Hassenmayer. She retired from the Mid Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, New Hampton, NY as a(n) Security Hospital Treatment Assistant; she was an avid football Giants fan; and loved being with her animals and being in her garden. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Kalblein and her husband James Thorpe of Middletown; Amy Kalblein of Middletown; brother, Mark Hassenmayer and his companion Judy of Albany, NY; sisters, Susan Chubay and husband John of Bloomingburg, NY and Karen Romanski and husband Joe of Middletown; 3 granddaughters, Alexis, Tiffany and Jaimie; many aunts, uncles, and cousins and her niece and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, September 26 from 2-6 pm at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the funeral service beginning at 5:45 pm. Cremation will be private and burial will be at New Vernon Cemetery, Mamakating, NY at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for the care of Linda's pets to The Animal Clinic at Tower Drive, Dr. Kelli Hewlett, 303 Tower Drive, Middletown, NY 10941.
