Anne C. McCloud, 78, of Goshen, NY Anne C. McCloud, 78, of Goshen, N.Y. died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Anne was born July 11, 1936 in Suffern, New York, the oldest daughter of Helen Barnes Collishaw and Frederick R. Collishaw. Anne attended Sacred Heart School in Suffern and graduated from Suffern High School in 1954. Anne was a Majorette and Twirler in High School. Following graduation, Anne worked for the corporate office of Phelps Dodge Corporation as a secretary. On June 1, 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, George Crawford McCloud and moved into the house they built together on Campbell Avenue in Suffern. December, 1966 Anne and George moved to Goshen, New York into the second house they built together and where they have lived for 49 years. Anne and George were always animal lovers, and over the years have had horses, chickens, ducks, rabbits, dogs, cats, and Barney the Goat. Anne started working for the Goshen Central School District Transportation Department in 1967 as a bus driver and truant officer and then as a secretary. She retired in 2001 as the Assistant Transportation Director. She was also a Notary Public for over 30 years. Anne was an avid baseball fan, who rooted for both the New York Mets and New York Yankees. Every year, she couldn't wait for spring training to start so baseball would be back on television. She also had a passion for parades and would never miss any parade held in Goshen or Montgomery, N.Y. Anne's greatest joy in life were her eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with them, attending Little League games, keeping up on everything they were doing, and spoiling them. Her grandchildren have so many fond and special memories of times spent with "Gram". She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George Crawford, at home, who lovingly cared for her for the past ten years as her health declined. Son John McCloud of Goshen, daughter Sherry Meres and husband Patrick of Montgomery, daughter Julie Wooley and husband Kenneth of Westtown, eleven grandchildren: Andrew Meres and wife Nicole of Goshen, Ryan Meres and wife Amanda of Woodbridge, VA, Bradley Meres and wife Ashley of Montgomery, Shaun Meres and wife Heather of Montgomery, Catherine Meres and partner AJ Marcinak of Montgomery, Molly Meres and partner Dave Walsh of Wallkill, Travis Meres of Montgomery, Tyler Meres of Montgomery, Jack McCloud of Goshen, Kelly McCloud of Goshen, and Samuel Wooley of Westtown; daughter-in-law Tina McCloud of Goshen, nine great-grandchildren: Nicholas and Grace Meres, Austin, Zoey and McKenna Meres, McKinley Marcinak, Lucas and Haley Meres, and Easton Meres; sisters, Sally Florence and husband Russell of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. and Joan Hyland and husband Peter of Chicago, IL. She is also survived by her cousins, Mary Stevens and husband Daniel of Suffern, and William Collishaw and wife Judy of Bethesda, MD, and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loving and devoted dogs Rhonda and Buddy, who were always by her side. The family extends their sincere thanks to Dr. Charles Strober and Dr. Inocencia Carrano for their exceptional care of Anne over the years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 3-8 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brick Church Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Anne's name to: Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc., 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, N.Y. 12550 or the Warwick Valley Humane Society, P.O.
