John L. Mirra, III, 60, of Chester, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Wayne, NJ. John was born November 12, 1955 in New York, NY, the son of John L. Mirra, Jr. and the late Frances Ann (Navigante) Mirra. After retiring from IBM in Sterling Forest, NY he became a realtor at Monroe Realty, Monroe, NY. He was past President of the Goshen Little League for many years. He is survived by his father, John L. Mirra, Jr. of Middletown; children, Nicole A. Mirra of Yonkers; John T. Mirra and companion Morgan of Chester, Joseph Mirra and companion Laura of Harriman, and Anthony J. Mirra and companion Alexandra of Goshen; wife, Mary Ann Mirra; brother, Anthony C. Mirra and wife Diana of Middletown; nephews, Thomas and Nicholas Mirra and many cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Frances Ann Mirra. Visitation will be Monday, February 8 from 2 to 4 PM & 7 to 9 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
