Richard C. Caffery, 80, of Bloomingburg, entered into rest on Thursday, March 17, 2016.
Richard was born March 30, 1935 in Goshen, NY, the son of Raymond and Jessie (McShane) Caffery.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956; retired from the Town of Mahwah Recreation Dept.; and was a member of the Mahwah Fire Dept. Co. 1.
Richard is survived by his wife, Janet (Cline) Caffery at home; daughters, Joann Caffery Fatigate and husband Ron of Pearl River, Susan Caffery Murken and husband Bob of Mahwah, NJ, Dana Caffery of Shahola, PA; stepsons, Chris Caffery of Goshen, Philip Caffery, Richard McNamara and wife Monica of Bloomingburg, Christopher Cline of New Windsor; step daughter, Angela Brown and husband David of Bloomingburg; brother, James Caffery and wife Florence of Circleville; sister, Puggy of Ohio; 10 gandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, March 21 from 5 to 8 P.M. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen.
A Mass of Christian burial to Celebrate his life will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY.
Burial will follow in Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
