MY HEARTFELT SYMPATHIES TO DAVE DILL'S FAMILY.....!!!! IT IS NOW JULY & JUST LAST WEEK, I HAD WARM THOUGHTS OF DAVE WONDERING HOW HE IS.
IRONICALLY, A WEEK LATER I STUMBLE INTO A FORMER GOSHEN POSTAL CO-WORKER WHO CONVEYED THE SAD NEWS!!
YES, I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF DAVE FOR THE 10 YEARS WORKING ALONGSIDE HIM AT GOSHEN POST OFFICE!! I HAD HIGHLY RESPECTED HIM WHEN HE ASSERTED HIMSELF & FOUGHT FOR CERTAIN PRINCIPLES.
SOMETIMES, I WOULD BE ASSIGNED TO DELIVER HIS ROUTE 4 !! HE WAS ALWAYS RESPECTFUL TOWARD ME & FULL OF COMPLIMENTS WITH A SMILE & WOULD SAY "THANK YOU KID"..EVEN THOUGH I WAS IN MY MID 30'S...LOL!!
INDEED, DAVE DILL TRULY LEAVES BEHIND A LEGACY ~~A DILIGENT CARRIER WITH COMMITMENT TO THE COMMUNITY. HE'D ROAR LIKE A LION ~~YET TREATED ONE WITH A SMILE, A KIND HEART &HEART WARMING RESPECT>>
BET HE IS FROLICKING WITH HIS POSTAL PAL, ADAM UP ABOVE!!
GOD REST YOUR SOUL DAVE DILL~~YOU ARE AT PEACE NOW AS AN ANGEL WAtCHING OVER YOUR LOVED ONES>>>> RETIRED POSTAL CLERK & PAST SUB- CARRIER OF GOSHEN/MONROE~~ TeeKay ~~GOD BLESS~~

Although we had lost touch over the last few years, I still considered him my father in law. Always treated me with respect and i did the same with him. From when I first met him in 1981 we bonded thru sports and always enjoyed our back and forths. He loved his daughters which was obvious and when his grandchildren and great grandchildren were around he lit up. He never missed any event his grandchildren were involved in. From gymnastics and track for Jenna and Kaylin, soccer with Madison to basketball, baseball, soccer and football with Willie and C.J. Graduations, award ceremonies, birthdays, NEVER forgot any of them. And the best part, they all knew it and how he felt about them. So rest in peace Dave. I'm sure you are hanging with Mr. Price now on the corner stool. I enjoyed being your son in law and thank you for all the fun times....and p.s. - stop telling me to move back in left. I got this!

Dear Family of David,
Thank you for telling me the news about David. There are two things I remember about him from our early years - first, he was an excellent athlete - once he got the ball, the opposing team didn't have a chance! The second thing was his amazing ability to look at a situation, assess it, and react quickly. Those two qualities together made him a wonderful asset to any sports' team at school. When I get to heaven and hear the sound of a bouncing basketball, I'll know just where to find him! Thank you for sharing your gift of David with me and all of us.
In sympathy and with fond memories,
Mary Jane (and Reg) Faust

To the Family of Charles David Dill,
I am a cashier at Hannafords in Middletown.I checked Charles out almost everytime he came in shopping.. He would always come to my register #6.. I only do express checkout. He knew I would pack his bags full. He wanted as few bags as possible. He always had a smile on his face. We always talked & laughed. I will surely miss him dearly. He was a very nice & polite customer and I considered him as a friend not just a customer.. Im very sorry for your loss. He will have a special place in my heart. I will miss him

Dave's family,
My sincere condolences to all the family. Dave and I grew up in Goshen and played in the first little league back in 1951. Knew him as a postman, and a great friend, and he always had a smile on his face.
Haven't seen him in many year's, since I now live in St Louis.
I'm sure he will be missed bye the good old folk's in Goshen.
Hang in there Dave's family, who I did not know.
