Dorothea F. Sayre, 70, of Goshen, NY, died Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Calvary Hospital, Bronx, NY. Dorothea was born February 11, 1939 in Amityville, NY, the daughter of the late Martin and the late Louise (Strobel) Keck. She was the widow of Wesley H. Sayre. She is survived by her son, William M. Sayre and wife Shereen of Pompton Plains, NJ; 2 daughters, Marie Miedema and husband Thomas of Mt. Hope, NY and Donna Sayre of Goshen, NY; sister, Louise Smith and husband Raymond of Havre DeGrace, MD; 7 grandchildren, William, Faith and Hope Miedema and Jessica, Laura, Olivia and Eric Sayre and several nieces and nephews. Dot will always be remembered for her kind smile and loving heart. Visitation will be Monday, May 25, 2009 from 5:30 - 9:00 P.M. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen, NY. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:00 am at the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to CalvaryHospital.org or to Calvary Fund, 1740 Eastchester Road, Bronx, NY 10461.
