Rebecca Duryea Zwart posted a condolence

When my mom (Barbara Duryea, now Kolk) worked there, she would bring my brother and I with her. Mr. Sandberg always brought us with him to the barn to help him groom the horses and bring them out to the paddock. My love of horses came from my experience with him. He taught me so much and I have so many memories of him. Every once in a while, I wondered how he was and I would look him up. I have a huge passion because of him. He influenced me for the rest of my life. I'm so sorry to hear this. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Condolences from Roger Shields and family. George and I were in the same class at Longfellow School and Teaneck High School. We set up pins together at Feibel's Recreation. George taught me to drive when I came home from being in the Navy in World War II. We used to go to the Queen Anne Theater together as kids. I remember his father who sometimes worked together with my father. I remember him as a student athlete in high school. Fond memories of our childhood days around Teaneck. God rest his soul. Thanks, George, for your friendship.
