Mary-Gray and family: My condolences go out to your family on the loss of your father and husband, Tom. May he rest in peace. May your family garner fond memories to carry you through this sad time.
A little story: When we moved up to Orange County from Rockland County in 1982, Griffith's was the realtor to use, we were advised. We looked all over and sure enough, a home (that we are still in) became available and was sold to us by the agency! In those days, when I heard you lived in the mansion, I asked to tour it and you graciously did show me around! I last saw it maybe 10 years ago, upon visiting it for an appointment with the now-owner, Dr. Pascal. Again, my deepest sympathy to you and yours!

To Gray and family,
We were so sad to hear of your father's passing. It was good to read about all of the loving remembrances of his life well-lived and to know that his spirit will continue on in all of you. What a blessing that you all were there with him and know that he will be with all you, watching over you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love,
Lisa, Ted, Alice, Lily, and Ozzie Fair

This was one of the most telling life stories of someone passed, and truly heartwarming. It is obvious that Mr. Griffith will be missed by so many. I am so sorry for your family's loss, but can tell that you have a lifetime of beautiful memories and I hope it is those memories that will help all of you to get through each of the coming days and months.

Thank you for sharing your Dad with us. He was our very own "Dick Van Dyke" His laughter and wisdom was a welcomed joy to a household of 5 kids whose own Dad passed away when we were all just little kids. His respect and pride for our country and the values he cherished and stood for was a lesson we learned at a very early age from him and is still with us today. God bless our Mr. Griffith and all his family. The Ross family cherished you and Mrs Griffith. Your impact on us was deep. We will never forget.

We were sorry to hear of Tom's passing. It made us both think back to our first meeting, when he so desperately tried to sell one of our Rockland County homes. He told us of his wife and family and how Orange Country was the place to be. He was a very hard working and dedicated Realtor, family man and citizen. He will be missed by many.

My condolences to the Griffith family, and my apologies to my aunt Mary-Gray, and cousins Ann, Gigi, Cindy and Gray for not being able to attend the funeral. I just arrived to Tokyo last night, and read Tom’s obituary here this morning, a city where Tom once lived at the end of WWII. I remember having many discussions with Tom about Japan while I was living in Yokohama in the 1990s and beyond, but will remember most all my meetings with Uncle Tom at Griffith Realty. He will be missed. A true hero!
