My dear Elsa, Lisa, Virgil and Erin,
It is with great sorrow that I received the news of Ver's passing. He was such a wonderful friend and "big brother" to me and when I was still living in the States, I always looked forward to his daily telephone calls to check how I was doing or just to chit-chat. He even volunteered to act as "Ninong" in case I decide to make the BIG STEP! Though that didn't happen, I will still consider you my "Ninong" Ver and will sorely miss you. Rest in peace, dear Ninong!
