Griseld Demera, 85, of Goshen, entered into rest on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY.
Griseld was born June 15, 1932 in Ecuador, South America, the daughter of Jose Ignacio Calderón and Mercedes Agripina (Demera) Calderón. She was the widow of Jose Benito Demera who predeceased her in 1994.
She is survived by her daughters Evelyn Demera and Daisy Demera-Panizzi and her husband Troy; grandchildren, Anais, Ariana and Andrew Panizzi; brother, Guillermo Calderón; sisters, Lidia Saltos and Cristina Roca and many nieces and nephews.
Griseld was predeceased by her parents, husband Jose, brothers, Luis and Manuel Calderón, and his sister Josefina Mena.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 26 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at St. John The Evangelist Church, 71 Murray Ave., Goshen, NY.
Entombment will be in St Raymond's Cemetery, in the Bronx.
