George J. Barbera, age 56, of Goshen NY, died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at Orange Regional Medical Center-Arden Hill Campus, Goshen. Mr. Barbera was born June 3, 1952 in the Bronx, NY the son of the late Matthew and Teresa (Cardone) Barbera. He was married to Sharon Filicicchia Barbera. He was employed by Local 12, NY, NY as an Insulator. He is survived by his wife: Sharon (Filicicchia) Barbera at home, mother, Teresa Barbera of Goshen daughter, Amber M. Kemens and her husband Victor of Stevensville, MD; cousins, Joe Solocito and Bill Jesse both of Rockland County; three grandchildren, Nathan , Noah and Joshua.Kemens. Visitation will be Friday Oct, 3, 2008 from 6:00 To 8:00 pm and Saturday, Oct 4, 2008 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Prayer Service will be held on Saturday Oct. 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, Internment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Georges name can be made to Yankee Universe Fund, Development Memorial Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087-7106 Arrangements under the direction of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc,. Goshen.
