I have known Martin for most of my life. We grew up on the same street, and while he tortured me at times since I was the younger and smaller, I always looked up to him. We would see each other over the years at of course , weddings and funerals. Our parents were friends growing up and there was family interaction over barbecues and other meals and special occasions.
I am sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences to Mary and the family. I extend to the condolences to Peter, Maggie and Kate.

Mrs. Smith and Family,
There isn't enough space to share the memories of this great man, neighbor, husband, dad, grandfather and friend. I grew up with Mr. Smith and his great family. I remember Mr. Smith as a young man, when Nick was just one years old. I spent countless hours around this wonderful family throughout my younger and later years. I made sure I stopped in to visit each time I visited home from my current residence in NC. I can remember Mr. Smith pulling into the driveway every night in his new black S-10 pick-up. I remember him always taking the time to clean his pool, enjoying dinner with the family and interacting with all of his children. As I moved away in 1996, I missed a lot of the Smith family years. Upon every visit, I always enjoyed sharing life stories we shared about each family. I was saddened a few years ago by finding that Mr. Smith was ill. Today, I received information that this great man has passed. RIP Mr. Smith, you were a great inspiration in my life. To the Smith Family, we all send our regards from NC. Please move forward from the great things he has done and the memories good and bad.

So very sorry to hear of Marty passing. He was a wonderful man, with a big heart, and a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his beautiful family and many friends. It was an honor to know Marty and call him our friend. May the pain felt at his passing be lessened in the knowledge that he is now pain free and walking the streets of gold, hand in hand with the Lord. Love to Mary and the family from your friends.
