Obituary of Anna M. Johnson

Anna Marie Johnson February 17, 1921 – June 17th, 2018 Anna M. Johnson, of Goshen, after a long and fulfilling life, passed away peacefully at her home in Goshen at the age 97. She was the second eldest of four children born to the late John and Pauline Harchut, predeceased in death by brothers John (wife Helen) and Casper (wife Cairine) and sister Dorothy. Born in Florida New York, her family settled in Goshen where she remembered milking cows before school on their farm and operating the small Sara Wells airport from one of their pastures. After graduating from Goshen High School, she met the love of her life Robert (Bob) Johnson. They were married in August 1940 and celebrated 51 years of marriage until his death in 1991. Anna worked 30 years for the Fleet bank in Goshen before retiring to care for Bob at the home they built together on the family farm. They had three sons together, Bobbie - predeceased, Edward - survived by and Donald - predeceased (wife Adel). Anna was a caring sister, mother and grandmother who loved gardening, her Polish music, and taking their 57 T-Bird to car shows where they won many trophies. She enjoyed the serenity of her little lake Annahaha that Bob built her on their property and visiting her family in California during the winter. Anna is survived by her son, Ed Johnson, grandchildren Susan Johnson Kania (spouse John), Michael Johnson, Matthew Johnson (spouse Trisha), Jayme Johnson Bosch (spouse Matt), Shawn Johnson (spouse Michelle), Bryan Johnson (spouse Linda) and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, June 21 from 11 AM to 12 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY; with the Funeral Service in the funeral home at 12 PM.
