Obituary of Helen Derderian

HELEN DERDERIAN JUNE 29, 1924 – NOVEMBER 26, 2018 HELEN DERDERIAN, of the Town of Goshen, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 26, 2018 at the age of 94. Helen was born on June 29, 1924 in New York City and was the youngest daughter of the late Violet and Ghazar Tutunjian. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially at Woodloch Pines and on the beaches of Montauk. She was married to the love of her life, Harry Derderian, who pre-deceased her in 1989. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie, and her son, Stephen, and his wife Judith. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Vanessa Mackay, Stacey Rennie, her husband Matthew, and Leslie Derderian, and her husband, Joseph Macarak. She was GiGi to her great grandchildren, Gabrielle Janet, Emily Grace and Cooper Stephen. She is also survived by her special friend, Sam I Am. She was predeceased by her parents and husband, as well as her daughter, Janet, her sister, Rose, and her lifelong friends, Grace and Sally. A special thank you from her family to Christine Cianci, who was not only her care giver but her best friend and to Mercedes Tartanian, for her invaluable help in Helen's last days. At Helen's request, there will be no visitation and a private grave side service will be held at the convenience of the family.
