James R. Maney, 72, of Goshen, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Jim was born September 3, 1946 in Goshen, NY, the son of George and Julia (Dayton) Maney. He loved living in Goshen. He was a former member of the Goshen Minisink Hook & Ladder, worked for the Times Herald Record and retired from Arden Hill Hospital, as a Registered Nurse. He loved his job, he was a RN who worked as a nursing assistant so he could take care of his patients. He loved his grandchildren. He enjoyed TV and was an avid fan of the Giants and Yankees. He loved debating and always had a point to make. He cherished his vacations at Seaside Heights and cruises with his wife and family. He is survived by his wife: Winni Maney at home; daughters, Pamela Albertie and husband Jerry of Goshen and Melissa Henderson and husband Daniel of Goshen; five grandchildren, Julia, Ryan, Thomas, Christina and Alyssa and his faithful dog Winston. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20 from 3 to 6 P.M. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with the funeral service at 6 PM with Pastor Paul Thompson officiating. Burial will be private with the family in Slate Hill Cemetery, Goshen, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Goshen Humane Society, PO Box 37, Goshen, NY 10924 Arrangements under the care of the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., Goshen.
