So sorry to hear the passing of Sal. Remembering him at Croton-Harmon. I didn't work in his dept., but everytime in passing we would say, "Hey, How ya doing?" Then laugh. He was the guy that got me my first overtime pay. A real stand up guy. He will be missed. My sympathies again go out to Mikey, Sal, and the entire Zani family.

It is with a broken heart and continuous tears that I write to my family, I am so very sorry for the huge loss that you all have suffered. To my Aunt, wife of Sal, you were his everything, a love that many cannot find in life and wish they had. You took the best care of him and he was so lucky to have you by his side during his battle and in life. I love you. To Sal and Michael, what a dad you had....I know you will carry on his memory through your children and family as you continue through life, he would want nothing less. I am so sorry you lost your dad so young, Heaven has gained an Angel and a hell of of guy, love to all of you your kids and wives. To all the grandchildren, I give you the biggest hugs, I’m so sorry. To Angela and all of your family, Michael John, Anthony....I send you my deepest sympathy, hugs and love to all.
Uncle Sal was an amazing person, loved his family dearly, was so much fun. He knew all the best places to eat in NY, loved driving his car and listening to music. He was a dare devil at heart and made us all laugh. He would do anything for you. The toughest out there but yet the gentlest teddy bear. I celebrate your life in heaven and will continue your memory w our family. You were the best Uncle I could ever have. Thank you for being in my life for 40+ yrs and my children and husbands and we love you and have the best memories w you. May you RIP my dear Uncle, you put up a hell of a fight, a hero.Love, Stacy, Jay Genna and Brooke.
